Controlling the Remote Base

This repeater uses the FC-1 interface to allow touch-tone control of the remote base transceivers.

The remote base transceivers are Icom hand-helds. The two-meter transceiver is an IC-2AT, and the 222 MHz transceiver is an IC-3AT.

Frequency control of the transceivers is identical. The specific transceiver is selected by putting the repeater in macro 3 for two meters (103.5 PL),macro 4 for two meters (with 127.3 PL), or macro 5 for 222 MHz.
For macro 3 (two meters) press touch-tone 3653 (defaults to 147.12 + receive only, pl 103.5)
For macro 5 (222 Mhz) press touch-tone 3655 (defaults to 224.46 - receive only)

Once in macro 3 or 5, the following codes apply to the remote bases:
71 receive only
72 transmit/receive
73 off

7M*HTOF where
M=Megahertz digit
H=Hundred kilohertz
T=Ten kilohertz
O=One kilohertz 0 or 5
F=Offset 1=minus, 2=simplex, 3=plus

Examples:
Two meter frequency of 147.345 plus offset

3653 (repeater says "M3")
77*3453 (repeater says "seven point three four five plus")
72 (repeater says "transmit")

222 MHz frequency of 224.820 minus offset

3655 (repeater says "M5")
74*8201(repeater says "four point eight two zero minus"
72 (repeater says "transmit")

Two meter frequency of 146.520 simplex

3653 (repeater says "M3")
76*5202 (repeater says "six point five two zero s")
72 (repeater says "transmit")

Before using a remote base, always check the current macro by pressing 365100. Repeater will respond with a number from 1 to 5. This is the macro number. When finished with the remote base, press 365_ where _ is the previous macro number.
